你好，question tags 是疑问句尾，指语法中的附加疑问，简短的提问插入语来的。

它也是个 mini-question，例如一些 have you? 或 wasn't it? 等等。我们通常用它来要求某人的确定或确认 (to ask for confirmation)。

因此，那些助动词 (auxiliary verb) 都扮演着重要的角色。

请看以下的解释。。。

我们通常在正面的句子 (positive sentence) 后用否定的疑问句尾 (negative question tag)。
1) Susan will be here soon, won't she?
2) There was a lot of traffic, wasn't there?
3) Alan should pass the exam, shouldn't he?

当然，我们也能在否定的句子 (negative sentence) 后用正面的疑问句尾 (positive question tag)。
1) Susan won't be late, will she?
2) They don't like us, do they?
3) You haven't got a car, have you?

想你留意的是。。。
You are not going out today, are you?
如果你答 Yes，就代表 Yes, I am going out.
如果你答 No，就代表 No, I am not going out.

告诉你，我也时常会搞错的，哈哈哈。。。

有时，那个疑问句尾的意思是看你如何说而定的。
如果你的语态是往下的，那就代表你不是真正地在问某人问题，而是你只想请求或邀请他/她认同你。

"It's a nice day, isn't it?" - 我们讲 isn't it 时是从高音转至低音的。
"Yes, beautiful." - 然后，你对他/她说这句话的那个人可能会如此答你。

如果你的语态是往上的，那就代表你是真正地在问某人问题了。

"You haven't seen Lisa today, have you?" - 我们讲 have you 时是从低音转至高音的。
"No, I'm afraid I haven't." - 然后，你对他/她说这句话的那个人可能会如此答你。

所以啊，我们通常想问某些事物或请求某人做某些事情时都会用 negative sentence + positive question tag 的。

最后，也想你留意的是。。。

1) Let's go for a walk, {shall} we? (the voice goes up)

2) Don't be late, {will} you? (the voice goes down)

3) I'm right, {aren't} I?
