Simple Maths Confusion

I have a confusion on a quite basic math thing. Fractional exponent.

For example:

64^1/6

What do I do with this? I know the answer is 2 but

64^1/6 ----> ? ---> 2

In a simple way, I can explain in this way:
64^ (1/6) = 2
L.H.S = 64^ (1/6)
= (2^6)^(1/6)
= 2^(6/6)
= 2
= R.H.S.
Also, there is a formula that:
"x^(m/n) = n√x^m"
Therefore, we may also use this to find out:
64^(1/6)
= 6√64
= 2

You should just remember the below formula:

a^1/m ----> m√a (m th root of a)

64^(1/6)
=[2*2*2*2*2*2]^(1/6)
=[2^6]^(1/6)
=2^(6*1/6)
=2^1
=2
we have (a^b)^c=a^(b*c)
