一樣的 如果是日期的話也是用on --> On May 11th

常春藤出的書 介詞很簡單 這本書中有提到
in the morning
可是若是後面有接日期，就要用
on the morning of May 11th
您的of 打成or了。

本來我也以為是in，問了我家那隻加拿大人，發現on才是正確的，因為是在講特定日子May 11th，只要是講那天的任何時間、早上下午都用on，晚上就用dring the evening

一天當中的某部分 =morning / afternoon / evening 使用 in
但是night會用 at night

不過若提及特定的日期時 morning / afternoon / evening 都可使用on

My sister was born on the night of July 7 .

ex. in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, in a year, in decades, in a century
on 後面接 "特定的日子"
on May 15th, on Friday, on Mother's day, on Christmas Eve..
at 後面接 clock time
at 8:30am, at noon(12:00pm), at midnight(12:00am)..
還可接 at Christmas 在耶誕的這個時節(後面不加day)
因此,
*on Monday morning-->在禮拜一的早晨(以Monday為主)
*on May 11th, morning(跟著特定的日子走)
i*n the morning of May 11th( 跟著morning走,而這個早晨是屬於5/11)

但我卻在Time Express(時代解讀雜誌)2003.3一篇Stalking SARS的文章中,看到 on the morning of February 11這種用法,似乎已有混用的情形,如擔心誤用,還是建議您用 on May 11, morning 以避免爭議.

或較長的一段時間

on: 用於指出特定的某一天( 特定的時間點)
