✔ 最佳答案
3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x-6)
the first thing you do is distribute the 2 which gives you...
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x -12
you can add the 11 and -12 on the right side of this equation
3x - 5 = 2x -1
you can add 5 to both sides to get rid on the -5 on the left side
3x = 2x + 4
you can subtract 2x from both sides to get rid of the 2x on the right side
x=4
so your final answer is 4

3 x - 5 = 11 + 2 x - 12

x = - 1 + 5

x = 4

3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x - 6)
3x - 5 = 11 + 2*x - 2*6
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x - 12
3x - 2x = 11 + 5 - 12
x = 4

3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x-6)

Foil first:
2(x-6) = 2x - 12

Insert this into the equation:
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x - 12

Get all x on one side by adding the opposite of 2x:
3x - 2x - 5 = 11 - 12

Add like factors:
3x - 2x = 1x. 11-12 = -1

so
x - 5 = -1

Balance the equation by adding the opposite to both sides:
x = 4

3x – 5 = 11 + 2(x – 6)
3x – 5 = 11 + 2x – 12....Removing parenthesis
3x – 2x = 11 – 12 + 5...All x's to the left, constants to the right
x = 4...........................Combining similar terms

x=4

1)Problem.
3x-5=11+2(x-6)

2) Distribute 2
3x-5=11+2x-12

3) Subtract 2x from each side
x-5=11-12

4)Solve 11-12
x-5=-1

5) Add 5 to each side
x=4

3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x-6)
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x - 12
3x - 2x = 5 + 11 - 12
x = 4
2009-05-14 5:16 am
3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x - 6)
opening the bracket,
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x - 12
solving for x,
3x - 2x = 11 - 12 + 5

x = 4

3x - 5 = 11 + 2(x - 6)
3x - 5 = 11 + 2x - 12
3x - 2x = 11 + 5 -12
x = 4
