Why is my rats nose is bleeding?

i notice my rat has began bleeding from the nose i thought it was his nails so i took him to a vet and she cut them down but it wasn't. i haven't got a clue what this means please help me

It could be a lot of things. The only way to know for sure would be to take it to your vet. Intranasal infections can cause bleeding; so can tumors and trauma.

Bleeding from inside the nose or ear is most commonly caused by an infection, which can erode away the tissue... i am really sorry to hear this :( it sounds really bad

Is it dry? Get a humidifier. Is there anything new in his cage? Rats have very sensitive noses. If so, I'd get the new stuff out of there.

it might be having an allergic reaction or its sick. i know because im a vet. its nothing serious
