If it's a mutt, the name should be in harmony with the characteristics of the dog. I think "Hanhui" will do justice to the mutt.

Before naming your mutt with the said name you must check whether "han" has got a copyright on this particular name. Otherwise its an excellent name.

BTW I'm going to rename my new mutt with the same name. And since I don't live in China, I guess I won't have a problem with copyright infringement since copyright laws of China will apply only within the geographical boundary of China.

Just put a "K" before "Han"
And your mutt will feel like the Chinese Emperor Kublai Khan
參考: "Han" originated from "Khan"

What's in a name if it's going to end on a buffet table eventually?

Chinese people usually give their dogs "good luck" names. One popular one is "wong choi" which means "bring good wealth".

But I think "han" would be a cute name for a dog, too.

No dog is the "size of a teacup" Chinese Cresteds vary in size.. from 8-18 pds.. around 12pds is average. Chihuahuas are small 6pds or less.. they are the smallest.. and are certainly bigger than a teacup.
