may be solved like this:

= 6 x (-7.00 -0.80)
= {6 x (-7.00)} - {6 x (-0.80)}
= -42.00 - 4.80
= -46.80

(3x - 15) / - 6 = (2x - 2) / - 6 First, multiply the two facets via - 6 to eliminate the denominators: (- 6)(3x - 15) / - 6 = (- 6)(2x - 2) / - 6 3x - 15 = 2x - 2 isolate the variable: 3x - 15 + 15 = 2x - 2 + 15 3x + 0 = 2x + thirteen 3x = 2x + thirteen 3x - 2x = 2x + thirteen - 2x 1x = 0x + thirteen x = thirteen

why do you ask this question ?
Is it because there is a minus sign before 7.8 ? Just forget about the sign and multiply as usual 6 by 7.8 and in the answer put the minus sign.
That gives you -46.8.

Or if the sign x indicates the letter x (not the multiplication sign) the answer will be -46.8x.
