You can attack him with ranged/mage and then use telekinetic
grab (need level 33 magic ) to get the map that he drops.
#if you have level 31 magic, you can drink a wizard mind bomb, it gives +2 magic boost.
If your magic level is too low, you can just buy the map from him for
10000 (10k) gp.
