Food Japanese Wouldn't Know.?
I am going to go to Japan and I wanted to make something for the family I would be with that would be new to them, but they would still like.
I live in America, so does any one know any American food that you can't get in Japan? Or that they most likely wouldn't know?
I heard mexican is rare there. Would they know things like salsa?

Tripe and Onions is not well known.
japanese people are health nuts. not too greasy and not too spicy, etc. hmm, i never had mexican food in japan - you're right.
I am not sure if there's any American food that the Japanese can't get...but I do know that they are crazy about organic fruits and many love organic blueberries (they love to stock up while visiting US/Canada). Instead of making them food, I'd say bring them a couple jars of organic blueberry jam.
i know they love hawaiian food and italian food is an ultimate favorite.
maybe some hawaiian spreadings, jam, etc. or itallian dressings with pasta. XD
