have a tattoo just as it is in the picture, because it's Modern Chinese so it is written horizontally and from the left to the right...

the word "traditional" is usually used about the Traditional Characters and it's not the case coz the picture shows Simplified Characters (used in China since 1964)

if you mean the old style of writing -- it from vertical and the lines went from the right to the left...
like tattoo
6 1
7 2
8 3
9 4
10 5
but nowadays it's
12345
678910

if you want a vertical tatto, it's
1 zhen
2 xin
3 shi
4 guang
as you see the picture...
or 1234 zhen xin shi guang if you want it horizontal...

If it's written horizontally, it's most likely read from left to right. Traditionally however, it used to be written vertically, just like they do for Japanese. In that case, it's read from up to down by character and right to left by lines.

Generally, vertical - traditional
horizontal - more modern text

In your case, it's read as it is. from left to right. =)

you will desire to stretch you mind's eye slightly. i'm a chinese language. I basically discovered Simplified chinese language and characteristic in no way discovered classic one. even if i will examine them honestly. Many characters seems comparable, nevertheless very diverse in strokes. you're able to desire to take those characters as photos, human faces, and comprehend them per similarities and making use of a few imaginations. For genuine confusing ones, you likely can guess their simplified counterpart from the context you're interpreting.
