How can i extract a from the expression: a^b=c ?

a=c^(1/b)=\b/"""""'c'"""""
I regret that I can NOT type radicals with my keyboard.
You would do the b root of each side, because this cancels the b on the a. For example, when you have a^2, you would square root it to get just a, because this would mean a is raised to 2/2 (or 1). This would then leave you with a= root b of c.

Another "tricky" solution!
b ln(a) = ln(c)
ln(a) = ln(c)/b
a = e^(ln(c)/b)
