solve the quadratic formula...stuck?

Why don't you look at my answer to the first question that you asked, then apply it to this one. See if you can't figure it out from there.

4x² + 12x + 6 = 0
x² + 3x = - 3/2
x² + 3/2x = - 3/2 + (3/2)²
x² + 3/2x = - 6/4 + 9/4
(x + 3/2)² = 3/4
x + 3/2 = 0.8660255

x = 0.8660255 - 1.5, x = - 0.6339745
x = - 0.8660255 - 1.5, x = - 2.3660255

Answer: x = - 0.6339745, - 2.3660255; Factors: 4(x + 0.6339745)(x + 0.23660255)

4x^2 + 12x + 6 = 0
2x^2 + 6x + 3 = 0
x = [-b ±√(b^2 - 4ac)]/2a

a = 2
b = 6
c = 3

x = [-6 ±√(36 - 24)]/4
x = [-6 ±√12]/4
x = [-6 ±√(2^2 * 3)]/4
x = [-6 ±2√3]/4
x = [-3 ±√3]/2

∴ x = [-3 ±√3]/2

Use the quadratic formula to find the answer.
