g(x) = 4x - 3

g(x) → g(x + 1)

g(x + 1) = 4(x + 1) - 3
g(x + 1) = 4*x + 4*1 - 3
g(x + 1) = 4x + 4 - 3
g(x + 1) = 4x + 1

g(x)=4x-3
g(x+1)=4(x+1)-3
=4x+4-3

g(x) or x= -1
all you had to do was substitute g(x) for g(x+s) like this:
x+1=4x-3 and solve it from there
