take LCM for 2 and 3y/2

3/2(4-3y)= 0

4-3y=0
3y=4
answer y=4/3

actually this is already good you know, but yeah you can multiply 3 inside a bracket 6-9y / 2
2009-04-26 4:21 pm
3(2 - 3y/2)
= 3*2 - 3*3y/2
= 6 - 9y/2

Just expand it and rearrange with the highest power first. Divide by 2.

3(2-3y/2)

=6-9y/2

=-9y/2+6

=-18y+12

you would multiply the numerator by 3.

if you multiplied the numerator and denominator by 3 you could just take a 3 out of the top and bottom and cancel it, and it wouldn't make a difference.

Solve inside the bracket
2-(3y/2)
take the lcm and you get the answer
(4-3y)/2

Multiply the result by 3

3((4-3y)/2)
your answer is
(12-9y)/2

if you dont want to do this way then it will be, multiply 3 by each of the numbers

your answer will be
6 - 9y/2
