1. It should appear in the income statement for the year ended 20 jun 06 with the follwoing entry Dr. Trade Receivables Cr. Sales. Please also noted that the stock had been delivered before the closing date.
2. No. This is not a business expense but a personal drawing. Entry should be made Dr. Owner's Current Account Cr. Bank, a receivable of the company.
3. a. Peter is carrying out dual roles - recording and custodian. He is maintaining company's bookas and at the same time handling pysical cash. A conflict of independence. By the same token, Peter should not be allowed to sign cheque for such a big amount. A conflict of custodian and recording functions. Moreover, the cheque is not duly approved and authorised by a third person, the proprietor. No independent check for internal control.
