How exactly do you use the pokemon marking map in Diamond?

Hey, remember me? I answered your other question about how to catch Cresselia after you find it on Full Moomn Island. So, you want the cat face to appear, correct? That either mean's that you haven't done the quest to unlock it, or you have to do something before you can catch it. Sometimes, it doesn't appear right away, so you may have to walk a little ways to find the Cat Face.

Hi there. If the little cat face symbol does not appear on your Marking Map App on Pokemon Diamond, that means that you currently do not have a Pokemon that is running around the Sinnoh region, like Cresselia and Mesprit. This happens when you've already caught both of them and there are no more Pokemon that are running loose in the Sinnoh Region.

Other than being the tracker for the Pokemon that run around Sinnoh, the Marking Map is useful for marking where you planted berries (and you don't want to use the Berry App), or for marking where you found a certain type of Pokemon.

If you have not already given the Lunar Wing to the sick child in Canalave City, Cressellia will not appear on the Marking Map.

Otherwise, to use the Marking Map for catching the Pokemon that run around Sinnoh, all you need to do is have it open on your Poketch. That's the only step that you need to do. If the cat face does not appear, you have caught all of the Pokemon that run around Sinnoh.
