Description
This is a traditional yet simple Chinese vegetable dish that can be prepared within minutes. Pak choi is a popular Chinese vegetable that has wide crisp stalks and dark leaves. This recipe demonstrates how fresh food can taste delicious when treated simply.

Instructions
Wash and separate pak choi
Roughly chop garlic
Mix corn flour in 2 tbsp of water in a small bowl
Heat oil in a wok, then add the garlic
Once garlic has lightly browned add pak choi
Add oyster sauce and stir fry for 2 mins
Add water and cover for 5 mins
Finally add corn flour mixture.
Mix well over heat until sauce thickens and serve.

Notes
Pak choi may be substituted with other Chinese vegetables like kai lan or choi sum or even a western vegetable like broccoli. Please note however, that cooking times may vary.

Cook it like families do.

Blanch it in water with a little bit of salt. Serve with oyster sauce.

Bok Choy:

from a CSA member:
Bok choy: (the bok choy in the box was amazingly good!)

1 T oil
1.5 lbs bok choy
1 T light soy sauce
2 T chicken stock or water

Heat wok over moderate heat. Add oil and then bok choy. Stir fry 3-4
minutes, until leaves have wilted a little. Add soy sauce and chicken stock/water.
Continue to stir fry for a few more minutes, until the bok choy is done until still slightly
crisp.

Very easy, very good.

Fruits have sugar, it's natural, but some fruits can even be bad for you. Veggies are a lot healthier, particularly the green ones.

Fruits are sweeter and take less effort to organize, generally, so I tend to eat more fruits. Unless our company is talking caned, but still, you usually heat up the veggies, so another vote for fruit.

All you need to cook bok choy is oil, salt and minced garlic (or ginger if you prefer).

1. Heat pan and add oil.
2. Add bok choy and minced garlic.
3. Stir-fry until bok choy becomes tender.
4. Add salt to taste. If you want, like the other poster said, drizzle on sesame oil.

I like to saute it in toasted sesame seed oil with minced garlic.

You can also use regular oil but sesame oil gives it a great flavor

I like to place bok choy in a steamer over a combination of water, vermouth and black peppercorns and steam it until it is bright green and the bulb is tender.
