If it's not too late, you can try opening a program like word or excel and it should buy you some time.

quickly open run command.
you can do this by pressing Windows + R
then type shutdown -a

means shutdown - ABORT
Simple!

You are shutting down the computer by pressing "Shut Down". That is the purpose of that function. Try "Log off" instead.
