What Kind Of Insect Nest Is This?

There are 5-6 holes in dug in my lawn. I believe these might be insect nests but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

this looks to be a burrow of a wasp called a mud dobber.
(taxonomy unavailable)
they are not prone to sting, but can deliver a very painful one,
if provoked.

Not sure, but they look like crawdad (crayfish) holes to me.

Here's more info about the little invertebrates than you ever wanted to know: http://crayfish.byu.edu/

My closest guess is an Ant hill?
I've never seen anything like that before but may be
it's not a Nest? It could be a mole's burrow spot
Or some kind of Rabbit Chamber hole..
