相對而言，香港迪士尼樂園的確擁有令人羨慕的競爭優勢。首先，它是世界上首屈一指的主題公園著名品牌，數十年來的累積，使它擁有無可比擬的強大偶像群，它是孩子心目中的天堂，是成年人眼中的幻彩世界，更是十三億中國人嚮往已久的歡樂天地。加上特區政府無條件大力支持，無論財力、人氣都比海洋公園勝過一籌，可說是天時地利無一或缺，可惜苦等五年之後，香港迪士尼樂園帶給人們的竟是無數的抱怨和失望。
