If you really want good food, then try Chill on Tedder. Not cheap but maybe the best on the Coast. You will need to book early for a weekend table. The Rice Patty is good as well and it is in Surfers, the sushi bar at East in Broadbeach is one more that comes to mind. The pickings are slim in Surfers though.

If it's seafood you're after, then you MUST go to George's in Broadbeach (27 Victoria Avenue). They serve other food too (if you're not into seafood). The staff are great and the food is brilliant.

Another one I love is Carat in the Phoenician Complex (Surf Parade, Broadbeach). It's a Thai restaurant, and the food is yum. I also loved Soprano (Surf Parade) and De Vinci's (opposite in the Aria building) in Broadbeach.

Sorry, I can't recommend anything in Surfers. Don't usually spend time further north than Broadbeach.

EDIT: I'd also recommend any of the Surf Life-saving Clubs down the coast. I've yet to have a bad feed at a SLSC.
