Is it true that your Yahoo Mail account can easily be hacked?

I'm reliably?? informed ANY a/c can be hacked if the hacker has the expertise, and the required knowledge of systems, firewalls etc,etc.

The US Dept of Defence (and many other institutions) will testify to this.

The precautions and security measures outlined by Lyn G will only REDUCE the likelihood of this occurring.

In any event, professional or even amateur hackers, would be unlikely to be interested in OUR day-to-day e-mail activities - they have much bigger fish to fry.

It is best to use the sign out to exit your account, but technically, it makes no real difference. Your account can be easily hacked if someone who knows what they are doing decides that is what they want to do to your account.
The best way to safeguard that, is to use a good strong password, which you change often. Never, ever give out your personal information.
Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure who it is from.
Take care surfing the web, by not going to random sites that you are unsure of and can not trust. If you are on a site and you absolutely have to sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you any other info, notices, catalogs, ads, and the like.
