兩種表達方式都可以 (e.g. present tense or past tense, 或者甚至係其他時式, 視乎個別idiom用法而定) , 但用法上會有少許分別. 例如在以上這用法 , 只係特別指「今早」, 所以要指明係”today”, 才可以用past tense.

如果你要指「太陽從東邊升起」 (這個定律, 即一般情況), 就需要用 present tense. 但如果你想指「今早太陽升起的時候」 (只是那一刻, 即某一次特定的情況, 而並非一般情況), 則需要轉用 past tense
