全香港約有四成的地方被劃為郊野公園，現時總共有二十三個，遊人能行山,燒烤,欣賞自然境物等，當中最大的郊野公園為南大嶼山郊野公園，佔地５６４０公頃，而最小的是龍虎山郊野公園，佔地47公頃。

大嶼山郊野公園是全港最大的郊野公園，在那兒我們能在鳳凰山欣賞日出，在芝麻灣半島有古代石灰窯、分流炮台等。除此之外，還有鳳凰徑、昂坪奇趣徑、郊遊徑、越野單車徑、樹徑等旅遊地點，讓市民把大自然景色盡收眼底。

龍虎山郊野公園面積只有四十七公頃，是全港最細小以及最新的郊野公園。雖然是最小，但園內有很大的特色為松林炮台及堡壘等遺跡，而附近的松林郊遊區，設有涼亭、燒烤爐、晾衣架、茗茶設施及平台等，在平台上可遠眺青洲一帶的海港風光。
