Why do american McDonald meals have more than the UK equivalent?

I was talking to a friend and we got onto the subject of fast food. I'm in the UK and he's in the US, somehow i ended up comparing the nutritional values of the US and UK Mcdonalds. I didn't check all the things, but generally I found that the UK meals had less calories and fat but more protein.

Wondering why people think this is?

it's really due to the tight laws of Britain regarding nutrition and health. mcdonalds was wanted banned by its own current king.

neither. they provide in to their youngsters fairly of being a discern. I consume at McDonald's as quickly as a twelve months or much less. i'm an quite good prepare dinner in accordance to those who consume the food I prepare dinner. don't be a coward. I have never compared the nutritional value of McDonald meals in other countries, but one thing I do notice is the size of the meal in US is much bigger than that in other countries, ie. Asian countries. Our "medium" drink is the same size as a "large" drink in say Hong Kong and Japan. Same with our fries. So maybe that's where the extra calories and fat is from.

Actually I try McDonald in Hong Kong and it tastes differently,. It's not as greasy as ours.
