When I visited Austria (Vienna and Salzburg) I noticed that they have a lot of meat and dumplings on their menus: leberknodel (liver dumplings), wurst (sausages), meat stew, wiener schnitzel (breaded veal).
But the best is still their desserts: apfelstrudel (strudels), sacher torte (nice rich chocolate cake with apricot filling), marillenknodel (apricot dumplings).
