Phrasal Verbs

那首先要明白phrasal verb的組成，可以由動詞＋介詞(preposition)或動詞＋副詞(adverb)組成，若由
動詞＋介詞組成的phrasal verb，那麼當受詞不是代名詞時，則受詞置於副詞前後都可以，如：
Please throw away your garbage.也可以寫Please throw your garbage away.
但若受詞是代名詞，則代名詞要置於副詞前，如：
Please throw it away（卻不可以寫Please throw away it)
最後談，若phrasal verb是由動詞＋介詞寫的，那麼，因受介詞所限，受詞必須置於介詞後，如：
Please look after your children（卻不可寫Please look your children after)
道理是容易明白，但甚麼時候是由副詞組成，甚麼時候是由介詞組成，就像古德明先生說過一樣，無法可循，只有多讀多聽，多留意才可以掌握得到

其實phrasal verb中文好似叫助動詞=動詞+副詞,用中文可能幾難了解.
1 , 2都係放低槍
但1嘅意係直述句: he put down the gun.
2就唔同,係命令句:Put down the gun! 放低槍

但當然,以上兩句意思都成立.助動詞中間係+名詞/代名詞
例:write me a letter
write a letter to me
意思完全一樣,三言兩語好難講得清,最好就係睇好大本嘅字典.

你好，其实以上两个句子都是对的。

通常那个 object 的位子可以放在 Phrasal Verbs 的中间或者是 Phrasal Verbs 的后面。

请看以下的例子:-

1) Could you fill in this form? 或 Could you fill this form in?

2) Don't throw away this postcard. 或 Don't throw this postcard away.

可是，它也是有例外的，那就是如果那个 object 是个 pronoun 的话，那就只有一个地方能放吧了，那就是 Phrasal Verbs 的中间咯。

---> I turned it on. (I turned on the light / I turned the light on.)

等如：I give a gun to the man.
I give the man a gun.
