F.1 Eng Grammar(20 power!!)

1)

delighted 跟 delightful 都是形容詞,

但不要亂用!

‧有「--ful」尾的是修飾事物
‧有「-ed 」字尾的是修飾人的感覺


例:

1. We had a delightful evening. (我們過了一個愉快的夜晚)

‧delightful 是用來形容「夜晚」-- 事物

2. The melody is delightful. (這旋律很愉快)

‧delightful 形容 「旋律」---- 事物

3. I am delighted. (我很愉快)

‧delighted用來形容「我」-- 人的感覺


有很多形容詞都是這樣用的,

好像--- interesting/interested、boring/bored

This books is interesting.(這書很有趣)
The film is boring.(這片很悶)

I am interested in reading. (我對閱讀有興趣)
I am bored. (我很悶)



記住, 有很多形容詞不會依照「--ful」或「-ed 字尾的定律

例如: She is beautiful. ---- 也可形容人

所以你要死記哪些跟定律, 哪些不會!







2) Delighted 和 happy 都是解開心, 開心程度較happy高少少

其實大致上也沒分別,

中文也有好多解開心的字啊,

「快樂、興奮、高興、興高采烈、 愉快」

字眼不同但都是解開心。





3) in delight 是一個詞組, 表面解作 「在快樂中」

She dances in delight. (她在快樂中跳舞 ----即快樂地跳舞)

再舉一例:

They clapped their hands in delight. (他們快樂地拍手)


所以, in delight 可由 副詞 (形容動作的詞) 取代

She dances happily.
They clapped their hands happily.


in delight 和 happily 都是修飾 dance 和 clap!
