I think the peril the others may be overlooking is "accidental discharge from a plumbing device". If the pipe is behind a wall or below the ground, they should at least cover the cost of getting to the pipe, and repairing any access damage. If the pipe can be easily accessed, then no, as the others are correct; there is no coverage for the actual repair unless required due to another covered peril (fire, vehicles, etc, etc.) Also, keep in mind that your rates and insurability depend a lot on your claim history. Consider your HO policy to be for large losses (at least $2500), sort of like major medical. If you use it for small losses, you will find your rates going up and may be cancelled (making replacement coverage far more expensive). Peace.
