We are all connected and even the littlest of men can change the course of the world. It can be in a word or an action. You may not be in the history books but maybe someone you touched will be motivated to discover the cure for cancer or eliminate poverty. A hand in friendship might stop a person from committing suicide, that person goes on to become a world renowned surgeon who gives his free time and services to help a child, and that child goes on to eliminate a deadly disease...Yes one person can change history even if his name does not appear in the history books.

I'm 13 years old so i don't know much. maybe someone might make a huge difference in the way we see life or on the world. Someone might grow up to be an Aerospace Engineer(me) and then build like a jet/ spaceship that can travel all the way to somewhere far away like the farthest galaxy away from us. Or someone might build a Time Machine and go to the time of the American Revolution or The Ice Age or The Big Bang incident or maybe the time of the Old/New Testament. Maybe someone might construct a Fountain of Youth. Or someone might experiment and create new species of animals. Or someone might resurrect the Dinosaurs.

History books do not always take a full view of a subject and are often one sided in nature. I also think that a history book might include people that are not famous at the time, but have historical impact in the lives of future generations. It really is not about being famous but more about affecting a society, in the public eye or not.

The impact that I make will be on the people who are close to me, but I have no wish to be famous, unless it were to happen coincidentally.

Collectively, with the many groups that probably are going to have an impact on the far future. individuals like myself are indeed important and can indeed make a significant contribution, although you make a good point that many individuals are unsung heroes... And, although individual names and identities may not receive appropriate mention in the history books, the groups and organizations they belong to probably will.

Hi Kirby my daughter is a huge fan, lol.
Um you are right, but what if your great great great great great grandson is the next J.F.K.? or revolutionizes something.
you might not be remembered however without your existence his is quite impossible.

Well, think about it from a broader perspective. Even if you are the parent of the parent of the parent of the parent of someone who makes a difference, you still made a difference in creating and raising that legacy.

We all make differences even if they're small. Possibly BECAUSE they are small. All together they make up the future.

To be immortalized in books and movies is fancy and all, but they aren't the only ones who make differences. There's a distinction that needs to be drawn between fame and influence.

In my opinion, that is overly presumptuous pride.
