正確應該是Those were the days, my friend. 這是一句英文歌詞．
Those were the days 不能直譯，因為Those were the days 是一個common而 proper 的英文expression．它的意思其實是那些美好／悲慘／瘋狂／ＸＸＸ的日子已經過去了．
這個expression一定要有context. 你中年時和中學同學聚舊懷勉年少瘋狂的日子時，這句話就是＂我們年紀不少，以前那些日子已經過去了＂．
你打完仗，回望過去，意思就變成＂那些苦的日子已經過去了＂
