碗仔翅是香港常見的街頭小吃之一,以前通常由小販在街邊販賣,因以小碗盛載而得名。

在從前,不少小販向酒家拿些零散的魚翅(俗稱「翅頭翅尾」),加入冬菇、木耳、豬肉絲、高湯加入味精、馬蹄粉(或豆粉)等煮成。吃時通常加入胡椒粉、浙醋、麻油等調味,亦可以加入魚肉、生菜絲等。

現在的碗仔翅內已沒任何魚翅成份,只是由平價的粉絲代替。

材料:上湯,雞蛋,粉絲,冬菇,雞胸肉

Mini Bowl Shark’s Fin Soup is one of the most popular street foods in Hong Kong . In the past, hawkers sold it on the street, and it got its name by the mini size of the bowl.

In the past, a lot of hawkers took the unwanted parts of shark’s fins from restaurants. They added in mushrooms, black fungus, pork meat, stock with MSG and cornstarch and cooked them into soup. When serving, people usually added pepper, vinegar and sesame oil. Sometimes, they added in fish meat and lettuce.

Nowadays, Mini Bowl Shark’s Fin Soup does not contain real shark’s fin anymore. Hawkers use vermicelli to substitute shark’s fin.

Ingredients : stock, eggs, vermicelli, mushrooms, chicken meat.
