以下幾句英文的形容詞子句句子有無錯?

1.He was a successful scientist who invented a Time Machine.
2. He was a scientist who succeeded in inventing a Time Machine.

第一句的句子係形容詞行先 定係子句行先?

文法上來說,兩個句子都是對的。兩個子句亦是正確的。

不過,只有第一個句子中的 [successful] 是形容詞。第二個句子中的 [succeeded] 是動詞, 不是形容詞。

兩個句子的意思並不相同。

第一句形容他是一個成功的科學家,和指出他發明了一個 time machine。意思是他的成功並不止於這個發明。

第二句指出他是一個科學家,和指出他成功了一個 time machine 的發明。但無 imply 他有其它成功的地方。

忘了回答問題。
如果想第一個句子和第二個句子的意思一樣,就可將形容詞 successful 改為助動詞 successfully 及放在子句內:
例:
He was a scientist who succesfully invented a Time Machine

There are no right or wrong answers to this, I'll illustrate some correct examples, as follows:

If your sentence begins with
1. John has done many great things for the society, died at the age of 60, he was a successful scientist who invented "Time machine"> Correct

2. In the 19th century, scientist from all over the world scrambled to figure out a method to travel back in time, many failed to make it except John, he was the scientist who succeeded with the invention of "Time Machine" > Correct

Grammatical errors on No.2, Succeeded in inventing > Wrong
If I have to choose an answer, I would choose No.1

There are different ways of writing this, let me know if you are not comfortable with the explaination!!!!
