7x-(x-4)(-x-3) Can someone help me out with this?
Do I apply the 7x- to the first bracket or just the - or do I treat it as a whole other bracket set?

7x - (x - 4)(-x - 3)

= 7x - [(x(-x) + x(-3) + (-4)(-x) + (-4)(-3)]

= 7x - (-x^2 - 3x + 4x + 12)

= 7x - (-x^2 + x + 12)

= 7x + x^2 - x - 12

= x^2 + 6x - 12
