a^3+b^3+a+b

Please help and show each step and explain its concept and reasons. Thanks so much.

answer comes out to be (a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2+1) idk how it gets to that though please explain.

a^3 + b^3 + a + b
= (a^3 + b^3) + (a + b)
= (a + b)(a^2 - ab + b^2) + (a + b)
= (a + b)[(a^2 - ab + b^2) + 1]
= (a + b)(a^2 - ab + b^2 + 1)

Why don't you mention what is to be done with the expression? What exactly is the "problem"?
