x > 7.5

Answer: x > 7.5

multiply thru by 3
x > 2.5 x 3
x > 7.5

x/3 > 2.5
x > 3(2.5)
x > 7.5

x > 7.5

x>7.5

x > 7.5

3*(x/3)>2.5*(3)

so x>7.5

you dont have to change the direction of the greater than sing because you didnt multiply or devide by a negative number

mult. both sides by 3 u get:

x > 3(2.5)

x > 7.5
