No, why should the government dictate how much someone can make? A lot of the people with 1 $1,000,000 + salary, donates a good portion of the money to charities. John Huntsman gives 100% of his income to charities. I trust people with there money, I don't trust the government with it.

The government doesn't have the right to tell you how much money you can have, regardless of what your job is.

Why would anyone want to restrict the income of someone else? That is totally anti-American.

it's not necessary to cap the salaries of the rich. But taxes should be able to afford the needs of the country. We need police, military, schools, health, homes, and so forth.

No. The movie industry is not being financially rescued by the government. Caps are only being set for companies that are failing and receiving government funds to stay in business. These businesses would be welcome to whatever profits they can make as long as they aren't being financed by tax dollars.

No. That kind of thinking just does not work in the market. So how are they going to hold that up?

Let's say you have a director that wants the best actor out there. So that best actor obviously gets 1 million dolllars under the new "cap". But what if there's another director making a movie at the same time and he also wants that actor? Well, who's going to get the actor? I'll bet it's the one who slides some money under the table to that actor.

Doesn't work. Never has worked either. Example: USSR.

That would be CRAZY! Celebrities need to make 20 million a movie! They need that to live lavishly and then complain about big corporations that destroy the world! (Of course who pays celebrities?)

If the motion picture industry gets "stimulus", there should be all sorts of restrictions, just to be fair!
But why bite the hand that feeds the party in power?
It will never happen and the Republicans would not vote for it,
in spite of how venomous Hollywood is toward them.

Well if we're going to cap executive pay we might as well cap celebrities pay. They dont do anything anyways.

No. Celebrities should have a cap of 1 million dollars, and the savings should be passed along to the ticket prices.
