Crystal must be hydrated?

Same as the title of the questions
Is that crystal must contain the water of crystallization?
For example CuSO4 5H2O ?

Or even without water, if the structure of the compound/element is in
an order, regularly, e.g diamond/ metal
then we can call it crystal?

By definition, a crystal is a solid consisted of atoms, ions, or molecules arranged in a pattern that is periodic in three dimensions.

From this definition, diamond is a crystal but it does not have water. Therefore, water is not a requirement for crystal. However, CuSO4.5H20 is a crystal by definition.

Note that water of crystallization is the type of H20 that does not bond with the host molecule (in this case CuSO4).
