The above figure shows a parallelogram PQRS. Find the value of angles, x and y. Please show all the steps and abbreivations.

Angle SPR = angle PRQ = 26 ( alt. angle PS//QR).Let PR intersects QS at M, for triangle PMS, angle PSM = 180 - 26 - 117
= 37.
so x = 180 - angle PSM = 180 - 37 = 143 ( supp. angle PS//QR).
Angle SQR = 180 - x = 37 ( adj. angle on a st. line).
y = angle SQR + angle QSR = 37 + 73 = 110 ( ext. angle of triangle).
