Why do you hate/dislike anime and manga? I'm just curious, I'm not going to try to prove you wrong on every point or insult you. Basically, I'm bored and I love disagreeing with people :).

No no no. BIG misunderstanding. I'm honestly booooored. I have nothing to do right now! Bleh. Why do I hate/dislike anime? Some are worthless pieces of trash like Mars of Destruction. Naruto is just... meh. It's not great, but it's not terrible. Some are really great like Death Note. I liked the whole mystery thing. I hope I can get to see the live action movie for my birthday. It's L: Change the WorLd, right?

Arietta, darling, I can't tell, but that looks like anime on Red_Comet's picture. I think Red_Comet was saying I was immature for trying to pick a fight with the anime haters. Before trying to fight with somebody, you have to learn how to spell. Did that sound harsh? I only speak the truth.

Yes, there are few out there that actually have good points. I'm not just talking about American animation. WHY anime SUCKS (why american is better). Spell "American" with a capital "a" and then we'll talk.

Randomly asking a question like this out of boredom isn't the great... so I agree with Red_Comet

My answer to your question:
I am not an anime/manga "hater" but actually a fan.
But have you seriously read more than, I don't know, ten anime or manga? Doubt it by the looks of your profile.

You sound like a fan-wannabe...

7th grade? By 7th grade I had listed 93 manga or anime that I had completed. (I have lots of file saved on my laptop with my records. Don't complain about haters, ignore them... it's like saying I like bugs and you don't (everyone is different)

Since when are dialogue and polemics immature? Red_Comet is out of his or her reckoning.

At any rate, there's some stigma attached to the "cartoon" motif as a whole.

Some have seen a few low-end or outright bizarre series and commit the logical fallacy of applying their limited knowledge as if it applied to the medium as a whole.

Others just can't stand raving fanboys/fangirls. I'm one of them, really, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying any anime I choose to watch.

More rare are those who bring valid criticism to the table -- these individuals may point to quality issues that manifest in most anime, such as recycled animations, lazy animating (everyone stands perfectly still while speaking, for instance).

If anything I'd say they think anime or manga is kiddy... simply because it's a cartoon. They never watch it give some great stories a chance. They just wanna judge and get back to their comfort zone.

Anime is is much more muture than stuff like family guy ang other shows like that and before you start talking about something you dont know try some shows like Elfen Lied , or death note they are older shows that are very intrerrsting. And anime is not my comfort zone i have friends and everything else like a normal person so dont say stuff with out knowing ANYTHING about the topic.

Ohh...Your not a huge anime fan...Well thats ok, we cant all be fans, there has to be some haters.

For every hobbie and/or interest there are always fans and there are always haters, You must choose your path, that is the way of the Jedi(star wars reference.)

At least you like one Anime, you still like Death Note so I dont consider you as a hater because If you were then you would hate all Anime.

I treat anime like a wife to me. I love it so much that I dumped my girlfriend for it. I plan on living in Japan for the rest of my life whenever I get out of college. Anyway people that hate anime don t understand the maturity of it. Blood gore violence etc. all of the popular idiots at my school currently hate it because their to scared to see it. They think it s gay even though it s not. LONG LIVE ANIME LONG LIVE JAPAN

Most of the anime haters r lil kids cause they r unable to understand the maturity of most of the animes(some animes r even bold than usual daily Soaps)....and rest r the haters who still loves Barney and Bob the builder type cartoons..In short lil kid in big body.

Hmm, I sense animosity among this crowd.

I don't actually 'hate' anime, I'm just more picky when it comes to selecting a series. There is plenty of crap out there, so I don't blame people for disliking it. Thankfully I was introduced with Card Captor Sakura, but a series like Shuffle! probably isn't the best way to get them into anime.

By the time I was in seventh grade I didn't download series illegally, I bought them, which is what real fans do. You can't call yourself a true fan of anything unless you buy books. What else do you think is keeping those companies alive, love?

Why are we picking fights anyway?
