HKMA既DBM課程

Hi, DBM is approved by Hong Kong Gov for sure, but if you want to choose 社工系, why you choosing DBM now? its hard to link to Bachelor of Social Work if you only holding a DBM.

If you want your future career in Social Work, first of all , you need to get a Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Bachelor in Psychology (心理學) after that, you can continue your study in Master of Social Work, DBM cant help you in this progess.

在港修讀美國大學心理學大學課程

除了本地大學有提供心理學學位課程外，美國上愛荷華大學 ( Upper Iowa University，簡稱UIU ) 亦在港開辦心理學專業學位課程。完成心理學專業學位課程的同學，可繼續升讀碩士課程，並符合資格加入美國心理協會 ( American Psychological Association )。UIU於1857年創校，乃一所4年制大學，其學士學位課程共提供7個主修科目選擇，包括會計學、管理學、財務學、心理學、市場學、電腦科學及資訊系統管理學。各項課程已獲香港教統局審批註冊，並取得美國高等教育委員會官方認可資格。課程採用甚具彈性的學分制，分別設有日間和夜間課程。學員只須修畢120個學分並達到成績標準便可畢業，學生亦可利用寒假及暑假時間照常上課，藉此縮短修讀的時間，最快可於兩年完成。

課程已獲香港教統局審批註冊並取得美國高等教育委員會官方認可資格

When students complete the programme, they are qualified to become a Registered Social Worker (RSW) under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance, and hold appointments as a Social Work Assistant. They will be able to work in both government and non-government organizations in the field of family welfare services, community development services, rehabilitation services, children and youth services, services for offenders and drug abusers and services for senior citizens.
Graduates of Associate of Social Science in Social Work can apply for:

Bachelor’s degree programmes in Social Work run by City University of Hong Kong and other local universities;

Advanced standing for admission to the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) programmes at City University of
Hong Kong;

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Social Work with Minor in counselling run by City University of Hong Kong. Direct entry will be offered to Distinction holders;

Admission to third year of the Bachelor of Social Work programme offered by University of Queensland,
Australia;

Partial exemptions for studying social work or social sciences degree programs in some U.K., Canadian, U.S.,
and Australian universities.

至於HKMA-DBM, 雖然在資歷架構內係屬第4級, 加上這個課程係與嶺大合辦, 頗受僱主歡迎的兼讀課程之一, 但課程係涉及工商管理, 加上以中文為授課語言, 就算完成了DBM課程後打算申請升讀本地大學讀社會工作學士課程, 恐怕並不容易; 不如循本地大專途徑修讀, 若然您本身係做開社會工作的更可要求僱主出信推薦, 對入職註冊社工較有幫助。
