Kuwait has one commercial airport. The US has hundreds, so where exactly are you looking to measure from? Because I'm sure the distance from NY is much less than the distance from CA or AK. In fact, I think the folks who fly from Alaska to Kuwait fly over the north pole depending on the airline.
Edit: Ok, well again, it depends. You may have a layover in Europe somewhere which will add miles, but then again, you may have a direct flight, in which case it would be about 6000-6200 miles. It takes about 13 hours to fly directly, but most of the flights I've taken to Kuwait had layovers in a US airport or in Europe which took the trip out to 22-25 hours.
