Its got to be England, it is so very 'public school' to get a 'cap' for your chosen sport.

If you mean gunpowder caps it probably was China or if you mean bottle caps then it probably was good old USA(for all you yankee patriots out there).

I think the USA, but they were the Baseball caps with the larger peak.
And there was me thinking you mean't the contraceptive one,lol.
