What will you do when someone eats at your restaurant and leave without paying?

There are few types of these cases: 1. They say that they don't have enough money and have no one to come and pay for them. 2. They try to sneak out when you don't pay close attention to them. 3. They walk out of the door complaining about how horrible the food is and have no intention to pay. They even say that you could call the police. (of course we know that when the police come, they will be nowhere to found).

I mean, I work in the restaurant industries for a long time. I've seen so many of these cases. I've always think that maybe because of our race. The customers always do that to us. Does that happen to other cuisines too?

what kind of cuisine are you?
if it was me, id seriously make the "i have no money" people wash dishes for an hour or two.
obviously all these people are just out for a free meal. I would also suggest to the ones who try to sneak out (and the i have no mmoney people) that theres a soup kitchen for poor people available and they should go there.

I know i know, dont be rude to the customers. thats fine if they're paying customers, but these kinds of people probably wont be coming back anyway.

if you have some sort of salad bar or bufffet style restaurant (i dont know you didnt say) then certainly you could find a way to have your customers pay first. this would cut the sneaking out.

i would also check with your attorney or the local law inforcement to see what your rights are regarding payment options. such as seeing if you can legally make them wash dishes or charge them whether they liked their dinner or not.

ive seen people try to sneak out without paying but ive not personally heard people claim to not have the money for it.

i hope your clientel improves.
