I need someone help with a few math questions?
Ok, I have a few math questions that I am stuck on
-((-2)^3-2)^2+4x(-3)
-2(x-z)+(2z+3x)
The surface area S of a right prism is given by S=2B+Ph
where B is the area of the base, P is the perimeter of the base, and h is the height of the prism.
Solve for P
and
-8(x-4)=-6x+30

-((-2)^3-2)^2+4x(-3)
=-(-8-2)^2-12x
=-(-10)^2-12x
=-100-12x answer//
-2(x-z)+(2z+3x)
=-2x+2z+2z+3x
=x+4z answer//
S=2B+Ph
S-2B=Ph
P=(S-2B)/h answer//
-8(x-4)=-6x+30
-8x+32=-6x+30
-8x+6x=30-32
-2x=-2
x=1 answer//
Yes I Do. My Classes Have Been Using Calculators Since I Was In 2nd Grade. I'm In 8th Now. I've Been Using Pretty Simple Calculators Till About 6th Grade. In 6th Grade They Had Percents, Fractions, Decimals, Stuff Like That. I Also Used The Same Calculator In 7th Grade. This Year I Do Use One Of Those Fancy Science And Graphing Calculators. And Yes. I Have To Show Every Step Of How I Got A Problem Done.
1)
-[(-2)^3 - 2]^2 + 4 x (-3)
= -[(-8) - 2]^2 + (-12)
= -[-10]^2 - 12
= -[100] - 12
= -100 - 12
= -112
2)
-2(x - z) + (2z + 3x)
= -2*x + 2*z + 2z + 3x
= -2x + 2z + 2z + 3x
= -2x + 3x + 2z + 2z
= x + 4z
3)
S = 2B + Ph
S - 2B = Ph
Ph = S - 2B
P = (S - 2B)/h
4)
-8(x - 4) = -6x + 30
-8*x + 8*4 = -6x + 30
-8x + 32 = -6x + 30
-8x + 6x = -32 + 30
-2x = -2
x = -2/-2
x = 1
1) If I'm reading the ques correctly,
-(-8-2)^2 + -12x
-(-10)^2 - 12x
-(100) - 12x
Ans: -100 - 12x
2) -2x+2z+2z+3x
x+4z
3) Using just the equation:
S-2B = Ph
P = ( S-2B) / h
4) -8x+32 = -6x+30
32-30 = -6x+8x
2 = 2x
1 = x
P = (S-2B)/h
and for the last question,
x=1
What grade are you in? Thats some hard math!! ^ is an exponent right? uhmmm.... ya I'm lost... sorry
i know the answer yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
but i am not going to tell you
because you have to THINK
