The objective and the eyepiece in a microscope can be changed to produce different magnifications. What are the functions of the objective and the eyepiece?

Microscopes enlarge very small objects. To do this, the object sitsjust outside the focal length of the 'objective lens' (the bottom lens,closest to the object) and this creates an image inside the focallength of the 'eyepiece lens' (the top lens, closest to the eye). Theeyepiece lens then acts like a magnifying glass
