defining and non-defining

我想問下defining同non-defining relative clauses有咩分別(請長細解釋),邊個要加comma,又點解要加comma呢?比多d例子

如果有2句子:A car is me.A car is red 咁應該邊句跟which?why??

係應該:A car is me which is red.靜係A car is red which is me.

defining relative clauses係界定子句,用黎界定一D未知事物。
non-defining relative clauses係一d附加資料的句子,用係一d已知的事物。[呢個要加comma]
例子:
defining relative clauses應用
The man who is wearing red clothes is my father.
係呢度,如果就咁講"the man",你根本唔知講緊邊個,但加左個non-defining relative clauses---"wearing red clothes",你就會知道講緊究竟係邊個。
non-defining relative clauses應用
My friend ,John,who is very rich , is very smart.
係呢度,形容緊既人物"John",你已經係知道佢係"我的朋友",所以唔須要再界定你講緊既係邊個...所以"is very rich " 呢個係extra information,用來提供額外資訊俾你!
