Is that:

2√2 + 4/(2√2) ?

If so, when adding any fractions, you must have common denominators. Presuming the 2√2 is over 1, the LCD is 2√2, so multiply the first number by 2√2 / 2√2 to get like denominators:

2√2 (2√2)/(2√2) + 4/(2√2)
4*2/(2√2) + 4/(2√2)
8/(2√2) + 4/(2√2)

Now that we have common denominators, we can add the numerators:

12/(2√2)

Now let's cancel out the 2:

6/√2

Now we need to rationalize the denominator. multiply both havles by √2

6√2 / 2

Now cancel out that 2, and we get our final answer of:

3√2

2√2 + (4/2)√2
= 2√2 + 2√2
= (2 + 2)√2
= 4√2

takeout the common term,here its sqrt(2)
sqrt2x(2 + 4/2)
now divide any terms if there is a division
so,
sqrt2x(2 + 2)
then
do the calculation which is inside the brackets
=>sqrt2 x (4) OR 4√2
this is the answer,if u want to write it as single term then
=> sqrt2 x 2^2
=>sqrt2 x [(sqrt2)^2]^2
=>sqrt2 x [(sqrt2)^4
=>(sqrt2)^5
=>[√2]^5

2 sqrt(2)+ 4/2 sqrt(2)?

Break down each part, in front and behind the + sign, then its simple math.

2 sqrt(2) = 2x2 = 4

4/2 = 2/1 = 2

2 sqrt(2) = 2x2 = 4

4 + 4 = 8

Disregard. Read that at squared, not square root.

2 sqrt(2)+ 4/2 sqrt(2) = 2sqrt(2) + 2sqrt(2) = 4sqrt(2)
cancel 4/2 = 2

if you mean
2 sqrt(2) + 4/(2sqrt(2)) = 2 sqrt(2) + 4 sqrt(2)/(2*sqrt(2)sqrt(2))
= 2 sqrt(2) + 4sqrt(2)/4 =2 sqrt(2) + sqrt(2) = 3 sqrt(2)

Assuming the space between the constants and sqrt(2) means multiply, the expression would become: 2*2^(1/2) + 2*2^(1/2)
Using the product rule, you should know that a^b*a^c = a^(b+c), thus the expression can be simplified as: 2^(1 + 1/2) + 2^(2 + 1/2) and can be further simplified as: 2^(3/2) + 2^(5/2) = the square root of 8 + the square root of 32.

2 sqrt(2)+ 4/2 sqrt(2) <- 4/2 = 2
= 2 sqrt(2)+ 2 sqrt(2) <- a + a = 2a
= 2*[2 sqrt(2)] <-take 2 inside and multiply by 2 gives 4
= 4 sqrt(2) <- 4 = 2^2 and sqrt(2)=2^0.5 therefore multiply gives:

= 2^(2.5)
