如果你想講一件過去左既事``但係到+都無變
就最好用PRESENT PERFECT TENSE(現在完成式)
但係都要睇下咩事先
e.g.I have moved here for 2 months.
意思姐係我搬左黎哩度2個月``E+仲係住係呢度.

present perfect tense(現在完成式)
=I/we/you/they/he/she/it+have/has+past participle of a verb

好似你既例子``
Peter was waiting (for)me at the bus stop.He was my best friend.
就姐係話PETER係巴士站等緊你。佢以前係你既BEST FD。
如果你想話佢E+仲係你既BEST FD既話``就唔係用past tense(過去式)
要用present simple tense(現在式)

present simple tense(現在式)係話緊一樣不嬲都係既野``習慣
present simple tense(現在式)通常用黎TALK ABOUT THE FACTS(事實)

所以你既例子用is就得
而for就要加



最後講d題外話``
你用since既話就要用present perfect tense(現在完成式)
而用before既話就要用past tense(過去式)
我講既before姐係
e.g.I practice hard before I won the match.
而唔係
e.g.I have used the pen before.
