Solve for something to the X power?

I'm having trouble remembering my algebra.
If I have 1.06^x = 2.0544, how do I solve for X?

1.06^x = 2.0544
xln(1.06)=ln(2.0544)
.....ln(2.0544)
x=------------------
.....ln(1.06)

x=12.356 answer//

log(1.06^x) = log(2.0544)
(x)log(1.06) = log(2.0544)
x = log(2.0544)/log(1.06)

Use the natural logarithm:

ln(1.06^x) = xln(1.06)

.: xln(1.06) = ln(2.0544)
x = ln(2.0544)/ln(1.06)
x =~ 12.36

Changing to a log function:

x = log(base 1.06)2.0544

Using log rules:

x = log 2.0544/log 1.06

x = 12.356
